Don Kohler is a native of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where he and his family still live and he established a thriving law firm.
Before earning his law degree in 1998, Mr. Kohler graduated from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN, with a BA in Communications in 1991. Prior to and while going to school, he worked at United Parcel Service. During his 13 years there, he learned the importance of providing outstanding customer service. He also got a firsthand informal education about what can happen to a working person who is injured on the job when he hurt his back while at UPS. It was that experience which inspired him to continue his education and become an attorney.
In 1998, Mr. Kohler was awarded his JD (Juris Doctorate) from Hamline University in St. Paul. Even before graduation, he knew his law practice would focus on helping everyday people in the following areas of law:
- Workers' Compensation
- Personal Injury
- Wrongful Death
- No-Fault Insurance Law
- Product Liability
- Estate Planning Services
In addition to having his own law firm, Mr. Kohler is "Of Counsel" with the law firms of Thomas W. Krauel, P.A. and Knaak & Kantrud, P.A., and he associates with those attorneys on cases.
Mr. Kohler is active in the legal community, serving on a panel ov volunteer attorneys for legal assistance in Washington County. He also chairs the 19th District Bar Association's fee arbitration committee.
He is a member of the: Ramsey County Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, 19th District Bar Association (Chair, Fee Dispute Panel), Minnesota State Bar Association, and Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association (Minnesota Association for Justice)
